About Us

Robin and Elizabeth Crunk own Advantage Merchant Services, Inc. (AMS, Inc.) formed April 1994, in Houston, Texas. Prior to opening their own business, the Crunks worked for a credit card processing company owned by her father.  The Crunks work with Sage Payment Solutions, National Processing Company and Mercury Payment Systems (Registered ISO of Wells Fargo Bank, USA) to better serve our clients needs.

Elizabeth is the founder of HARVA(Houston Area Restaurant Vendors Association).  HARVA is an association of restaurant vendors that specialize in the restaurant, bar and hotel business.  HARVA was created out of a need for merchants to have access to vendors that are reliable and experienced in the industry.  Members are held to a higher level of service due to the close referral relationships we have with each other.

The Crunks represented First Net/First USA Paymentech from 1991 to 1997 when they joined Sage Payment Solutions (formerly NetOne Payment Services/Network 1 Financial). Based in McLean, Virginia, Sage Payment Solutions was incorporated in 1987 to provide electronic payment solutions. Sage Payment Solutions products includes Bankcard processing, Debitcard processing,  and  EFT Secure, our Internet Secure Payment solution.

The Crunks joined National Processing Company (NPC), headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, in February 2000.  NPC is the second largest provider of merchant credit card processing, supporting over 500,000 merchant locations and representing nearly one out of every five Visa® and MasterCard® transactions processed nationally.  For over 30 years NPC has served the largest, most sophisticated merchants in the world – including six of the top ten petroleum brands, six of the top ten airlines, and four of the top ten retailers and supermarkets.  NPC’s card processing solutions offer superior levels of service and performance, and assist merchants in lowering their total cost of card acceptance through our world-class people, technology, and service.

The Crunks joined Mercury Payment Systems (Registered ISO of Wells Fargo Bank, USA) to offer integrated credit card processing with their POS. With this solution, you can enter credit card information directly into the POS for easy & efficient one-step payment processing. And while others offer piecemeal services, only Mercury gives you one resource for everything you need.

Our POS vendors use top of the line equipment according to Forbes Magazine (July 2006 issue). They are also headquartered in Houston, TX.

The Crunks have built our business by providing our merchants with free unlimited on-site customer service, support and training. Biography

Elizabeth Crunk is a 1986 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. Elizabeth is- founder of Houston Area Restaurant Vendors Association. She is an ambassador with the Cy- Fair Chamber of Commerce.  Liz is actively involved with the American Business Women’s Association Express Network- Hapen.

 Robin Crunk is a 1994 graduate of ITT Technical Institute with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. The Crunk’s live in Cypress.

After 15 years of marriage, we celebrated the birth our son Matthew on June 21, 2004
